    Minimum qualifications:

    • At least 3 years of experience with troubleshooting computer systems or applications.
    • In depth knowledge of desktop operating systems.
    • Practical knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Ability to assess, negotiate, and resolve questions and problems.
    • More than average experience with Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Capability to learn quickly and adapt on the fly to new technologies and concepts.
    • Proactivity in managing issues and problems while being comfortable with ambiguity.
    • Skilled at tackling unusual and complex challenges and be able to guide and advise others.
    • Willingness and ability to share knowledge.
    • Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, a plus.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or any other technical related discipline in the S.T.E.M areas.
      o May substitute with relevant experience: 4 years or more.

    We're looking for a motivated individual with the technical zeal to support our business applications in a growing and innovative environment. The Application Support Specialist will provide technical support for a spectrum of applications being facilitated by the Employee Services Department. The individual will use their in-depth knowledge of those applications to ensure that the end-user is able to complete their tasks in an efficient manner. This includes troubleshooting issues related to the client machine, maintaining the security model, providing back-end support, and any other relative tasks conferred to the employee. The employee will need complex problem-solving skills to brainstorm software solutions, then work together to present the idea/plan to their manager as a possible company-wide solution. .


    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause investigation of issues that may arise from various applications being utilized in the company.
    • Assign permissions to certain applications and data based on our security matrix and employee responsibilities.
    • Aide in application development by inputting data and helping with data integrity.
    • Perform back-end maintenance to applications that are currently in production.
    • Correcting errors, if any, and modifying the existing software.
    • Meet with stake-holders to gather requirements needed for business goals and help ensure that those requirements are feasible from a technical perspective.
    • Demonstrate a consulting mentality – willingness to continually raise the bar, customer service first attitude, taking ownership, constantly improving and innovating, and demonstrating joint accountability.
    • Use strong communications and interpersonal skills.
    • Provide critical thinking, problem solving skills, design, and attention to performance, scalability, reliability, and availability at the system and component level.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to deliver on-time and above standard applications.
    • Create and execute project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
    • Participate in other non-customer projects that support company goals and objectives (internal initiatives, prototypes, etc.)
